Oats Khichadi also often called khichdi or kichari which is among the most comfort and boring foods for all of the people who are on dieting. Kichadi is a mixture of all the natural ingredients without fat and lots of spices. It is just made from rice, lentils, and all sorts of fresh green vegetables easily accessible, fresh herbs and cooked together to provide a pleasant plain dish.


½ cup moong dal 
cumin / jeera – 1 tsp 
1 inch gingerchopped 
1 green chillichopped 
onionfinely chopped – 1 small 
½ carrotchopped 
4 beanschopped 
4 cups water 
½ tsp turmeric
pinch of hing / asafetida 
1 tsp ghee 
salt to taste


Firstly, wash and soak moong dal in water for 5 minutes. 
1.Furthermore, heat the ghee in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds and hing. 
2.When they sizzle, add curry leaves and ginger. saute till it turns aromatic. 
3.Additionally, add chopped onions, green chilli and saute till they change colour to pinkish. 
5.Furthermore, add tomatoes and fry till they turn soft and mushy. 
6.Later add carrot and beans (or veggies of your choice) and saute for about 2 to 3 minutes. 
7.Drain the water from half cup dal and add along with turmeric. fry for about 2 to 3 minutes. 
8.Furthermore, add 1 cup of Supply6 oats, salt and fry for about 2 minutes. 
9.Pour 4 cups of water. And give a mix. 
10.You can adjust the quantity of water to make it mushy or slightly grainy.
11.On a medium flame, pressure cook for two whistles.
